JEREMY RENNER is a two-time Academy Award-nominated actor who has earned critical acclaim for his work in both independent cinema and major blockbusters, solidifying his reputation as one of Hollywood's most dynamic actors. Renner first gained widespread attention with his portrayal of Jeffrey Dahmer in Dahmer; he later delivered a breakout performance in The Hurt Locker as an adrenaline-driven bomb disposal expert, earning his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. His role in The Town, as a fiercely loyal yet dangerous bank robber, garnered him a second Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
In recent years Renner has starred in two Mission: Impossible movies; The Bourne Legacy; and has garnered both critical acclaim and wide popularity for his portrayal of Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Disney+ series Hawkeye. Currently, Renner stars in Mayor of Kingstown as Mike McLusky, navigating the gritty and morally complex world of prison systems and small-town politics.
Outside of acting, Renner is a talented musician, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. His Rennervations foundation repurposes disused vehicles for the needs of the wider community across the United States and the world, and runs regular recreational camps for children in foster care in Nevada. This is his first book.

    My Next Breath
    fullDescription

Acclaimed actor Jeremy Renner narrates his gripping and inspiring story of a near-fatal accident and what he learned about inner strength, endurance and hope as he overcame insurmountable odds to recover, one breath at a time. This program includes a note written and read by his daughter, Ava.
"Renner's description of his recovery is life affirming and just pretty incredible. His narration is particularly harrowing. There are occasional cuts to 911 calls on the day of the incident, and you can even hear Renner fighting to stay alive in the background. I'm of the mind that not every celebrity needs a memoir, but this one's worth it."—Vulture
"With audible emotion Renner navigates his reflections on life and death...Enhancing the audio are the original 911 interactions as the accident unfolded."—AudioFile
Two-time Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner was the second-most-googled person in 2023—and not for his impressive filmography. His searing portrayals on film ranged from an Iraq-based army bomb technician in The Hurt Locker and a Boston bank robber in The Town to a crooked Camden mayor in American Hustle before he became heir to the Jason Bourne franchise (The Bourne Legacy). Amongst other iconic roles, he also captured hearts as fan-favorite comic book marksman Hawkeye in seven Marvel films.
Yet, his otherworldly success on-screen faded to the periphery when a fourteen-thousand-pound snowplow crushed him on New Year's Day 2023. Somehow able to keep breathing for more than half an hour, he was subsequently rushed to the ICU, after which he would face multiple surgeries and months of painful rehabilitation.
In this debut memoir, Jeremy describes in blistering detail his accident and the aftermath. This retelling is not merely a gruesome account of what happened to him; it's a call to action and a forged companionship between listener and author as Jeremy recounts his recovery journey and reflects on the impact of his suffering. Ultimately, Jeremy's memoir is a testament to the human spirit and its capacity to endure, evolve, and find purpose in the face of unimaginable adversity. His writing captures the essence of profound transformation, exploring the delicate interplay between vulnerability and strength, despair and hope, redemption and renewal.
