Book cover for "The prince and the dressmaker"
Star rating for The prince and the dressmaker
Average Rating:
4.1 stars
Notes:
This is the cutest graphic novel I have read. One of the main characters is nonbinary, and while there is romance, the majority of the narrative focuses on their intense, budding friendship. This friendship is not without issues, but those are discussed and resolved, and lead to extremely rewarding character growth. This setting is a little fantastical, but may also be considered a period piece. The art style is refreshing and colorful.

Book cover for "The song of Achilles"
Star rating for The song of Achilles
Average Rating:
4.5 stars
Notes:
This book is one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever read. It showcases the passion and devotion of first love, embedded in friendship, that stands defiantly against fate and a harsh world. For all the people who read "The Illiad" and could not overlook the obvious romantic love between Patroclus and Achilles, this is for you.
Description:
Patroclus, an awkward young prince, follows Achilles into war, little knowing that the years that follow will test everything they have learned, everything they hold dear. And that, before he is ready, he will be forced to surrender his friend to the hands of Fate. Set during the Trojan War.
