This book is an entertaining, heartfelt read. It touches on classic middle school feelings, like growing pains in friendships and self-discovery. It is also a story about resilience, though certain events seem earth-shattering to Melly, the rest of her life is actually going pretty well. Thrown in with the excitement and confusion around her crush on a certain girl at music camp, these elements make this book a must-read.
