This book is an exploration of teenage love and friendship that is at once deep and deeply fun. As a plus, it's set in the South, so it helps provide a narrative counter to metronormativity. This book will strike a chord with theater kids and teens who are a little bit in love with all their friends. Even amidst the drama and upsets, this book is full of light and hope. The sequels and spin-offs are excellent, too!
